The Acvatix actuators were custom tailored to planners' and installers' needs.

All rotary and linear actuators have — for cost efficiency — a uniform platform core, in addition to standardized mounting, operation and maintenance. The housing construction and cable guide improve accessibility and safety. The actuator is easily adjusted — for installation, service or in case of emergency — by means of a handwheel. No tools required.

Analysis of involved parties with their needs and interrelations. Users, influencers, decision makers.

Old valve actuator after years of use under harsh conditions.

First sketches of an actuator system featuring 360° perceptibility from a distance and optional manual use.

Concepts of a platform-ready gearing for rotary and linear actuators, with and without emergency spring reset.

Mixed media use to depict gear drive concepts with sketches, Excel sheets and Lego bricks.

Ergonomic tests of various handwheel concepts. Torque rating depending on different gearing mechanism layouts.

Concepts of cable routing with easy access for installation and mounting optional modules.
